I’m a big fan of the old time physiques. They represent an ideal that is attainable compared to the monstrosities that headline the sport of bodybuilding these days. The physiques of yesterday also had a uniqueness about them, with each competitor bearing a particular trademark to his build.
1970s bodybuilder Danny Padilla has unreal mass on his short frame. Peaked arms, huge lats, small waist and thick legs and calves. Everything is neat, balanced and in proportion. The Giant Killer was definitely an overlooked force during the Golden Era of bodybuilding but will always be remembered for his classic physique.
