Interesting article about Aussie pro bodybuilder Josh L who scooped second place in the weekend’s Kevin Levrone Classic. Josh claims to eat $4000 a month on food or $500 a week. Not sure what he’s eating, or if he’s including GH in his food bill, but it seems excessive despite the exorbitant cost of groceries Down Under.

The claim of spending 4-8 hours in the gym per day also seems….strange, unless the 4-8 hours includes his time personal-training clients, but the British media has never let things like “facts” get in the way of some tabloid hyperbole before.

Josh also claims to be natty – or at least claims to “not cheating” and “being bullied” by such accusations on social media. Technically I suppose he’s not “cheating” since bodybuilding doesn’t drug test.  I can understand the denials however. The steroid social stigma is huge in Australia and could potentially ruin the big-man’s meteroric rise if he was to be as candid as some of the more honest figures in the sport….just ask Lee Priest how being honest and straight forward worked out for him.

Nonetheless, the guy’s a beast; a totally driven, hard worker and intelligent dude to boot. He’s the best bodybuilder to come out of Oz since Lee Priest and he’s got the whole industry down here behind him.

Amazing training session. I really think upping the fats to 40% has had a huge effect on my strength because my lifts are through the roof and rising even less than two weeks out. I always leave the gym feeling god-level euphoric and like I could have kept going forever.
