Took some more pics last night in the gym after I started warming up. I think I’m sharpening up, but I can still reach a bit deeper and pull out all the stops this week.
Arnold Classic Recap 2016
Wow. What a competition this year’s Arnold Classic was.

Surprisingly, my predictions weren’t too far off and I think 1st and 2nd could have gone either way with Arnold saying as much with this quoted slam during the award’s presentation to Kai;
“Cedric had better physical development- You won because of posing”
I thought as much too. Kai came back strong in the night show, but Cedric still had the better package. Kai’s routine rocked an otherwise subdued pack of performances and provided the perfect contrast for the night – posing last with such a strong display also probably resonated with the judges. I normally hate Kai’s routines, but this one rocked.
ONCE AGAIN, Branch Warren; the 41 year old guy with a 45 inch waistline edges out a top 6 spot. How the fuck does he beat Max Charles for Christ’s sake? He’s a walking travesty and an insult to the other bodybuilders in that lineup. Even Compton was a disappointment and fourth was a gift.
At the end of the day, I love the way the athletes raised their standards and gave the contest the due respect this year. No stupid antics. No wacky posing routines and most delivered above average conditioning compared to recent years. The contest coverage done by Digital Muscle was outstanding also. An exciting event and an interesting prelude to the coming year.

One week to go – no more fucking around. Pulling some calories over the next few days before a big carb up on Tuesday. No more Whey Protein. No more fruits.
Then back to high fat, lowish calories for the few days before the show. Debating whether to carb or fat load going into the show because, for me recently, high fats have been working a treat.
